Hey ! Now i'm listening to Biaxident and for me, it really sounds like the theme of the Simpsons (listen carefully, it's really clear from 6:27) . I think if the Simpson's theme had to change, it would be cool to put Biaxident instead (at least a short remix...) that's all! SebasT http://members.aol.com/sebast87/page1.htm

I, as a vocalist, really have to admire Steve Vai for his vocal ability. Let's face it - instrumentalists (take JP and MP, for instance), don't sing as well as a lead vocalist should. It seems to me that JP and MP only really sing live, and that's just because they don't have 3 of James. They never sing in the studio, and that's with good reason (no offense to either one :)) - they have James. Steve Vai, however, has a pretty damn good voice (somewhat reminiscent of SRV), especially for such an amazing guitarist. Another thing I really admire Vai for is his piano playing. Listen to "Fire Garden Suite" (track 9), from about 3:00 to 5:00. There are some really difficult piano passages in there. And, he plays every instrument (drums included - though I don't know if they're real electronic drums or just a drum machine) on the last song. He's truly amazing...

I have no idea, but well IMO i enjoyed most of the songs he sang on Fire Garden, he has a midranged voice that while not a master singer, hes very adequate, and much better than a lot of shit singers in a lot of bands. Id rather listen to vai sing than a lot of the so called prog metal vocalists in lesser known bands..

I really agree with you on the vocals thing, but id like to clarify some points,

Derek, Jp and MP did most of the background vocals on falling into infinity, if you listen to the Making of Fii disc, youll get some audio tracks of just them doing the background stuff.... i could make it into mp3 for you if youre interested :)

It has been confirmed that that was recorded note by note, and then a computer software played it at normal speed for the record... but yeah i love his voice!

I have the XMAS97 disc, and I guess you're right, but you really can't hear them on most of the production disc. I admire Vai for getting himself right up there on the forefront... :)
