Actualy that's not true, although i think you may be close the truth. I live in Seattle and we have some REALLY good stations here. KISW 99.9 plays Rush all the time.. And not just Tom Sawyer. They play every Rush song. They also play DT occasionaly. I heard "Pull me Under" the other day and when "Awake" came out they played some of the songs on occasion. Seattle also has a classic rock station KZOK 102.5 that plays Rush. We have another semi classic rock station 103.7, a 70's station 95.7 (they play Kansas, but not much, if any Rush), and of course an alternative station. You are right, for the most part, though. I was in Phoenix this summer for two weeks and NEVER heard Rush. Someone told me that Boston has a really good station or two, though, that plays Rush. Anyway, if you're ever in Seattle, listen to 99.9 and 102.5.

BTW: I don't know if there are many Kansas fans here but I saw the show at the Gorge a couple weeks ago and it kicked much butt. Anyone else see it anywhere else?

HI Just wanted to add one more on the pronounciation of Ytsejam.

I have the LP of WDADU and on the innersleeve ( only on the textsleeve) the song is written like this: ' THE YTSE JAM

-That should be with a major stress on the E ,( hope it worked out) I hope that will clearify everything.

This is the only spot I've seen that spelling, are there more?

Can't remember why they changed the name, but I think there was another band that was called Majesty. -is security after all a cause or symptom of happiness. Moore -88

Just wanted to say that I got mine about 2-3 weeks ago. It is GREAT quality. I'll probably order more soon. They're only $2, and they are vinyl. They last well, at least I haven't seen any signs of peeling whatsoever. And they're beautiful...3 colors- blue/yellow/white, Ytsejam logo in white, blue background, and "Drean Theater" on top and "Ytsejam" on bottom.

Have you ever heard Mike Portnoy play jazz? Can you guess WHY you've never heard him play jazz? :) Anyways, Dave'd give him hell because he's not used to doing a drum roll or a fill everytime Dave waves his hands. And I seriously doubt that there aren't some things that Anton could teach Mike too. I'm sure that there's something I could teach any drummer. That doesn't mean I'm better than them.

They get quite a bit of airplay (mostly the more popular songs, of course) in the St. Louis area. In fact, I just heard TfE today on K-SHE 95 (94.7 Fm - a lot of it sucks, but they play Rush a bit, as well as 93.7). K-SHE used to be better, though. They used to have a metal show a number of years back (I remember a guy in high school talking about hearing Maiden's "Rime of the Ancient Mariner" on it once). In fact, that station is the place I first heard DT (TTT), and I was hooked from that moment.

    YES!

    Finally!

I got my web page up at my domain. It's nothing special right now, because I haven't had time to do much work on it, but I'm glad I did get something up. You can see it at: www.prognosis.com I could use some help with pics for the page, maybe some links, and even some reviews of albums or bands. If you look at my prog list it's pretty damn short... I didn't have much time. Expect that to change in the next few days. I am putting most of my page effort into the list as of now. If anyone wants to mail me (in regular mail format) a description of any of the many prog bands that are NOT on my page, I'll give you credit and a link on my soon to exist "thank you" page. I could really use the help.

God I love working for an ISP. Anyways, my progressive mailing list is functional as well. Please take a moment to at least send a message to: majordomo@list.prognosis.com with the message: info progress in the body.

If you want to subscribe in ytsejam format, make the body message: subscribe progress-digest

Soon it will be cool. Hasta!

If you order direct from the band, be sure and add a "Care Of: Alan Morse" somewhere in that address. I had to send my money order 3 times before a call from Alan straightened this out (the PO Box is not in the band's name, so I kept gettin a "return to sender"). I'm suprised the web page hasn't corrected that (I told the guy about it last spring).

I have just returned from the Portnoy drum clinic here in Florida. It was an unbelievable experience. I sat about 5 feet away from the guy, later on shook his hand, and got an autograph. I can't believe how nice the man is...not to mention he's pretty good at the drums too (NOT!!!He frieking rules!!!).

He played two new songs that kicked everybody's ass! The new album shall not be a disapointment! He said also that Metropolis part 2 WILL be on the album!!!!! He said the the song will be so much better that it will make part one sound like Living on a Prayer by Bon Jovi! Amazing I say...just amazing. He played most of part one during the clinic as an example on how he uses time changes and odd time signatures to write his music. He also played all of Erotomania.

He said that Working Man is definently not banned (except Canada of course). He said that he was in charge of a lot on that album since he was the first asked to play on it. (I had asked him about the tribute and told him that it was in reference to questions from the yetsejam. I pronounced it yee-tsee-jam, and he said..."oooh, the jetsejam", pronouncing it the same way as me.

Overall it just kicked a lot of ass. He is just a really kewl guy, I wish I could thank him and tell him how much people like us appreciate him and the band doing things like that for us. They don't realize what it means to us. Very little bands out there do that for their fans. Thank you Mike, thank you Dream Theater!!!!

Okay, we've actually had WDADU on CD for a long time, but, since Keith has been doing some dubbing lately (indoctrinating more people to the wonderful world of DT <g>), he has been spending time really looking at the liner. If you look on the back of the case (or, at least, ours is this way), the songs are listed as being under side A or side B. Additionally, there is no album title on the front cover, and it appears off-center with "Dream Theater" looking like it was added after the fact. (Keith used to be in desktop publishing, so he's more sensitive to this stuff than other people.) Why is this? Was it originally only released on cassette (and maybe vinyl)? Or is it just tweaked because it was an import?
